By Randall Munroe
Suitable age: 10 and above
Today is my 12th birthday. So I am going to recommend a really good book that I’ve recently read.
Written by Randall Monroe, this book reveals the answers to random scientific questions, no matter how absurd. It is enriched with amusing doodles which effectively lets readers visualise the authors thoughts and explanations. Full of facts, yet very humorous. My favourite part of the book is when the author writes about the aftermath of stacking the elements from the periodic table together. The outcome is obviously apocalypse, but the author makes this very entertaining by describing the reactions of each element in detail while keeping my interest alive with hysterical jokes. Munroe explains everything in a way that even those with little scientific knowledge can understand the analysis. Recommended for science geeks and those simply looking to satisfy their curiosity.
Happy reading and happy birthday to me!
