Written by Oliver Bowden, this book is based on bestselling video game "Assassin’s Creed: Origins" and takes place in Egypt at around 70 BCE. When Bayek’s father, the protector of Siwa, his home, leaves to an unknown message, Bayek embarks a journey to uncover answers on why has his father departed Siwa. Meanwhile, a relentless assassin with a mission to terminate the Medjay, an ancient brotherhood, and the Medjay bloodline. Unknown to Bayek, his father is a Medjay and the killers next goal is to eliminate him and his father. The plot is mediocre but the character structure is strong. Recommended to gamers (especially fans of Assassin’s Creed: Origins) and teens, this book is the appetiser to the video game.
