Written by Mark Haddon, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime was also converted into a play which has quite recently been presented in Hong Kong. Christopher Boone has no interest in human emotion and everyday action, instead he worships logic and facts, hard evidence. After discovering that a neighbour's dog, Wellington, has been murdered, Christopher decides to investigate. Little did he know, this was far more than a than a death of a dog. Unlike typical mystery books, this novel does not revolve around a serious crime such, this is rather like a drama novel instead of a mystery novel. The plot is strong and the main protagonist is unforgettable, although some of the book is weaker than the rest, such as the train station scene. I recommend watching the play first in order to get a better understanding of the plot before reading the book.
